The Origin Story

Every piece from Mindy Lopez Studio begins with a natural shell that is carefully hand-selected, then adorned with delicate decoupage, hand-painted gold leaf accents, and set on rich navy canvas or wired to glow.

Crafted with intention in California, each shell is cleaned, arranged and gilded by hand, and no two pieces are ever identical. It's a slow process, and that's exactly the point: art that carries the mark of the hand that made it.
